The dynamic player recorded an impressive triple-double, amassing 31 points, 15 rebounds, 10 steals, and 3 assists on Thursday night. Knutson’s dominant performance included a remarkable 26 points in the first half, contributing significantly to the Comets’ 19-0 run when they were trailing by 11 points.

Elsa Retzlaff added 13 points, and teammates Kate Olstad and Ruby Peterson shone with their rebounding and steals contributions.

Drea Fernholz led the Chargers with 16 points, showcasing her prowess with 4 three-pointers, while Haddy Baune and Mia Elmer made notable contributions.

Hillcrest (1-2) looks ahead to a Tuesday matchup against Ashby, while Brandon-Evansville (3-1) faced their first loss of the season.

Border West Secures Victory with 15-Point Halftime Lead Over Underwood

The Border West Buccaneers dominated the first half, building a commanding 38-23 lead, ultimately securing a 67-55 victory over the Underwood Rockets.

The Buccaneers displayed a strong shooting performance, hitting 43.5% from the field, and excelled in rebounding with a 52-30 advantage.

Holden Rinke led the team with 19 points and 9 rebounds, while Nolan Wilson and Kyle Kremer contributed 15 points each.

Border West now holds a 2-1 record and will face Breckenridge on Tuesday, while Underwood (0-1) prepares for their home opener against Ashby.

Misegades Leads Hornets to Victory with Double-Double Against Braves

The Henning boys’ basketball team secured a convincing 69-43 victory over Menahga, showcasing a dominant performance with a 46% shooting accuracy and a significant 42-23 rebounding advantage.

Kale Misegades starred with a double-double, recording 28 points and 10 rebounds, along with 5 steals and 3 assists. Teigan Bjerke and Logan Kostelecky also contributed with double-digit points.

Menahga’s efforts were led by Bodie Berttunen, Brayden Aho, and Knaylor Howard. Henning (2-0) looks forward to a home game against Pillager, while Menahga (2-1) hosts Bertha-Hewitt on Tuesday.

Morgan Korf achieved a significant milestone, reaching 1000 career points, as the Pelican Rapids girls’ basketball team secured a 51-46 road victory over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.

Korf’s impressive performance included 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, leading the Vikings to a 25-15 halftime lead.

Ellie Welch contributed a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Pelican Rapids (record) forced 18 turnovers while limiting their own to 11.

The Vikings now prepare for a 1:30 pm game in East Grand Forks on Saturday.

Sabres Cruise to 7-2 Victory Over Otter Boys

The Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres dominated the Fergus Falls net with 33 shots, securing a 7-2 victory. Shaun Paulson, Kyan Rieder, and Brayden Klande orchestrated a fast start, scoring three goals in the opening period.

Sartell continued their offensive prowess with goals from Rieder and Collin Otto in the second period. Fergus Falls fought back, with Braden Albert scoring their first goal.

In the third period, Sartell added two more goals, sealing the 7-2 win.
