Fergus Falls, MN – A hit-and-run incident occurred on December 21, 2023, at approximately 3:57 PM, leaving one vehicle damaged and the responsible driver fleeing the scene.
The incident was reported by Cathy Van Santen, the complainant, the collision was at the intersection of North Broadway and West Lincoln Ave in Fergus Falls.
The complainant described the suspect’s vehicle as a white car, possibly a Taurus, with front-end damage.
The hit-and-run driver was last seen heading north on Broadway, and unfortunately, no license plate information was provided.
According to the report, Funk was traveling north on Broadway and ran a red light, colliding with the vehicle driven by Engelhart.
Engelhart was heading west on Lincoln Ave and had the green light at the time of the accident.
Shockingly, Funk left the scene of the accident immediately after the collision.
However, he returned to the scene upon the arrival of law enforcement officers.
The report also reveals that Funk does not have insurance coverage for his vehicle.
The collision resulted in a T-bone impact, causing damage to both vehicles involved.
