Sex Offender Moves to Dent Area

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding Jesus Soto Reyes, a risk level three designated registrant, subject to public notification in accordance with Minnesota State Statutes 244.052 and 244.253D.

Jesus Soto Reyes, age 24, will be moving into the vicinity of 400th Street, rural Dent on February 6th.

A Community Notification Meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m, Tuesday February 6th at the Dent Community Center located at 201 Birch Street, Dent, MN.

Representatives from the Department of Corrections and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office will be available to provide useful information on public safety.

According to court records, Reyes was convicted of second degree criminal sexual conduct in July of 2021, and of fifth degree criminal sexual conduct in August of 2022.

He was sentenced to 180 days in county jail and 25 years of probation for the first conviction, and one year in county jail for the fifth degree charge.

However, on January 22nd, 2024, after less than three years from sentencing, the court filed to discharge Reyes from probation.
