James Wedgwood, local legend for comedy ventriloquism, will be performing at A Center for the Arts’ fundraiser on February 24th, with proceeds going to Noon Rotary Club.

James got into ventriloquism at a young age when one of his aunt’s sent him a Danny O’Day puppet for Christmas.

He spent his early adult years performing theatre and improv, before being given the opportunity to bring his love of ventriloquism to the stage.

The show features a whole cast of outrageous characters, hilarious audience participation, and a few surprises.

Patrick McWiggins the leprechaun, Bill the manic prairie chicken, and hunter Willard Twittsnoggle with his cantankerous dog, Lukey, are just some of the personalities that will be joining James on stage.

And YOU may even get to be part of the act on February 24th, be it singing in a rap band, playing in their game show World of Fortune, or having fun with one of the “Ventriloquial figures.”

When asked about his choice of utilizing audience participation, James had this to say,

“I like that. It’s surprising, people don’t expect it, and when you have people on stage, you never know what’s gonna happen. That’s what makes it fun, because the audience knows that this is totally off-script, and that’s really exciting.”

You may have already seen James at the Minnesota State Fair, the Otter Tail County Fair, on national TV, or at other events across the Midwest.

Come to the show on February 24th and see why James truly is “The Most Fun You Can Have Without Moving Your Lips.”

You can reserve your tickets at A Center for the Arts or at their website, fergusarts.org.
