On Wednesday, February 21st, the Fergus Falls Fire Department (FFFD) made the most of the unusually warm February weather by conducting training exercises with Tower 4.

The session focused on driving, operating the aerial ladder, and pumping water, all essential skills for effective emergency response.

Tower 4, an integral part of the Fergus Falls Fire Department’s fleet, has been in service since 1995.

Standing at 100 feet tall and equipped with a 1,500-gallon-per-minute pump, Tower 4 plays a crucial role in the department’s firefighting capabilities.

During the training session, FFFD personnel practiced various maneuvers to ensure proficiency in operating Tower 4.

These exercises included navigating urban landscapes, deploying the aerial ladder, and simulating firefighting scenarios to hone their skills.

The continued training not only aimed to enhance operational readiness but also fostered teamwork and collaboration among Fergus Falls Fire Department personnel.

Such exercises are essential for maintaining peak performance levels and ensuring swift and effective emergency response.

As the Fergus Falls Fire Department continues its commitment to safeguarding the community, training initiatives like this underscore their dedication to excellence in emergency services.
