At around 5 o’clock Friday evening, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a camper fire on 565th Ave, just Southeast of Deer Creek, MN.
On arrival, responders found the camper fully engulfed in flames as well as a secondary fire where a man admitted to burning prohibited materials.
The New York Mills and Bluffton Fire Departments put out both fires, and the mans was given a citation for burning prohibited materials.
The New York Mills and Bluffton Fire Departments were also assisted by the New York Mills Police Department and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials say that ownership of the camper is currently unclear.
