Semi Accident on I94 Leaves Two Injured

A Freightliner Semi truck accident occurred on Interstate 94 westbound at the Brandon Exit, Brandon Township, Douglas County, on April 23, 2024, at approximately 06:06 AM, resulting in injuries to both occupants of the vehicle.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) incident report, the Freightliner Semi truck, traveling westbound on I-94, veered off the road and rolled into the center median.

The road condition was reported as dry at the time of the incident.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Perry Caston Potter, a 46-year-old male from Mansfield, OH, USA, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

He was promptly transported to Alomere Hospital for medical treatment.

The passenger, Carolyn Elaine Barton, a 52-year-old female also from Mansfield, OH, USA, likewise suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Alomere Hospital for medical attention.

Both occupants were reported to have been wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.

Assisting agencies on the scene included the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MN Dot), North Ambulance, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (Douglas Co SO), Brandon Fire Department, and First Responders.
