Fergus Falls, MN – Leave a Legacy Fergus Falls is holding an estate planning event at A Center for the Arts on May 2nd.

In 2020, members of the Fergus Falls community came together to be a resource for planned giving to help others create their own legacy during their lifetime and after.

In what they hope will be an annual event,  they’re inviting folks to join them at A Center for the Arts to hear from speaker Ben Winchester to hear about The Transfer of Wealth, followed by a panel discussion with community and regional experts around planned giving.

This year’s event is subtitled “It’s never too early OR too late to plan for the future.”

Rebecca Pertersen from West Central Initiative says, “I think it’s a reality for all of us. It’s really actually fun to start thinking about how you could give back during your lifetime and start to make a difference and show how you want to leave your estate after you’re gone.”

Complimentary appetizers, along with a cash bar will be provided at 5 p.m. with the program starting at 5:30.

This is a free event open to everyone.

Members of the Leave A Legacy committee include about 25 non-profit groups in Fergus Falls and continues to grow.

Learn more about their group  on Thursday, May 2nd at A Center for the Arts.
