Fergus Falls, MN – The Fergus Falls Public Library is pleased to invite the public to two upcoming workshops on Wednesday, June 12th.

“First, when it comes to money management, it’s no surprise that we are influenced by our upbringing.  Stories, experiences and teachings of those close to us influence how we save, spend and perceive the role of money in our lives.  Michelle Shireen Muri helps us explore these narratives and unpack the baggage (good, bad or indifferent) surrounding the choices we make as adults.  Muri is the host of The Ethical Rainmaker podcast, Co-Founder of Community-Centric Fundraising and founder of Freedom Conspiracy.  Join the free 90-minute workshop at the Fergus Falls Public Library on Wednesday, June 12th from 4-5:30 p.m.”

“After Muri’s workshop, from 6-7 p.m., James Beard award-winning writer and chef Amy Thielen discusses the ‘Radical Art of Cooking for Others.’ We’d venture a guess that there’s more to being a good host than just putting a hotdish on the table. Or is there? Thielen, author of ‘Company: The Radically Casual Art of Cooking for Others’ encourages us to rethink the way we entertain, throwing dinner parties that are less formal, more frequent, and as fun for the cook as for the guests.”

Registration is not required for either workshop. These programs are in partnership with Springboard for the Arts in conjunction with their 2024 Rural Futures Summit in Fergus Falls.
