Pelican Rapids, MN – At around 9:30 Saturday morning (June 15th), the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 44000 block of 280th Avenue in Lida Township, East of Pelican Rapids.
The Sheriff’s Department, Pelican Fire, and Vergas Fire responded to the fire, finding a hay shed burning.
The shed, along with all the straw bales inside, are considered a total loss, though no injuries were reported.
Following the Sheriff’s Department’s investigation, the origin of the fire is unknown, but believed to be nonsuspicious in nature.
