Fargo Police Requesting Assistance in Locating Person of Interest in Homicide Case

Fargo, ND – The Fargo Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating J’Veonte Malike Logan, also known as Amire Logan.

Logan is a 20-year-old Fargo resident who has been identified as a person of interest in a homicide that occurred on Monday, June 24.

Logan is believed to be driving a gray 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with North Dakota plates 628 DZR.

At around 8:16 Monday evening, Fargo Police officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of 6th Ave. S. for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with serious injuries from a gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased.

The FPD will release the name of the victim approximately 24 hours after notification of the next-of-kin was completed.

If a member of the public locates Logan, they are advised to refrain from approaching or attempting to apprehend him.

Members of the public are encouraged to call 911 and relay relevant information with accurate details such as the location Logan was last seen, his last known direction of travel, descriptions of the clothing he was wearing and information about anyone who may have been accompanying Logan.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Logan or his vehicle is asked to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center’s non-emergency line at 701.451.7660 and ask to speak with a Shift Commander.
