Traffic Stop in Barnesville Leads to Arrest and Seized Drugs

Barnesville, MN – On Tuesday (July 2nd) members of the Moorhead Police Department and other assisting agencies conducted a traffic stop near Barnesville on Interstate 94.

During the search of the vehicle and person, officers located approximately 1,000 M30 Fentanyl pills and 13 grams of cocaine with a street value of over $10,000.

The drugs were to be delivered to the Fargo-Moorhead area to sell them in the community.

33-year-old Antonio Johnson of Rochester was transported to the Clay County Correctional Facility.

A long-form complaint was filed requesting Felony Aggravated First-Degree Controlled Substance – Sale of Fentanyl, First-Degree Controlled Substance – Possession of Fentanyl, and Third-Degree Controlled Substance – Possession of Cocaine charges.

The assisting agencies included the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Fargo Police Department, Cass County, North Dakota Drug Task Force, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
