Fergus Falls, MN – The Fergus Falls Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Move ‘n Groove is taking over the Spies Riverfront Park this Thursday (July 11th) from 4 in the afternoon until 8 at night.
Lisa Workman, President of the Chamber, says the event is a combination of sidewalk sales, an outdoor trade show, and fun family activities, “Most of the exhibitors, vendors, and businesses have games for kids, so it’s really a bunch of kids’ games, but you get a chance to meet about 60 of our local businesses, who’ll have a booth there, or a game or an activity.”
Activities from previous years have included tic-tac-toe, bubbles, and building birdhouses, as well as activities for adults, like mini golf.
There will also be live music performed by The Hilldales.
Shop Move ‘n Groove is also part of the Chamber’s Summer Shopping Spree Giveaway and any stamps you earn on your stamp card that day will be doubled.
Every $250 you spend at participating businesses gets you an entry to over $1500 worth of prizes.
Most of the prizes will be given away on July 15th, but Workman says that some special prizes will be given away at the event on Thursday.
The Spies Riverfront Park parking lot will be closed all day Thursday to allow the Chamber to set up the event.
