Jeffery Defries (OTCDF)
Orwell Township, MN – At around 1:49 Wednesday afternoon (July 24th), the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a man possibly shooting a firearm at a delivery driver in Orwell Township, west of Fergus Falls.
Deputies responded to the residence, where it was determined that there had been a verbal disturbance involving a delivery truck operator and 55-year-old Jeffrey Defries of Fergus Falls, where Defries discharged a firearm.
Defries was arrested for Second Degree Assault charges and was transported to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility.
No one was injured during the incident.
The Minnesota State Patrol assisted the Sheriff’s Deputies at the scene.
