Example of scam message. (Minnesota DNR)
Fergus Falls, MN – There are still messages being sent pretending to be MnDOT saying you have an invoice, violations, or toll-by-plate bill from using the Minnesota E-ZPass Express Lanes.
This is a scam, as Minnesota doesn’t have license plate tolling.
Scam artists send what might seem like an official email or text with an urgent message to “click” on a link or respond to the message in some way.
Don’t respond.
You could be duped into giving away sensitive data, including personal identity or credit card information.
