In a late-night accident on Tuesday, a motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries after losing control of his bike on a curve.
The incident occurred at the intersection of 430th Street and 233rd Avenue in Otter Tail County.
According to reports, the male rider, who was not wearing a helmet, may have struck a guardrail.
Emergency services responded promptly, with initial support from the Pelican Fire Department using Stac 1 for helicopter assistance.
However, the situation was later handled by ground units.
The rider, who was conscious at the scene, was bleeding from the face but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
He was transported by ground to Detroit Lakes for further medical evaluation.
The motorcycle was extensively damaged and deemed a total loss; it was towed by Pete’s Towing to their lot.
The incident remains under investigation.
