St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Hospital Association’s annual workforce survey suggests nurses are coming back to the bedside after the pandemic.
CEO Rahul KoranneĀ says the rebound has not been as strong in greater Minnesota, “Our data show that overall vacancy rates outside the metro are nearly three full percentage points higher than in the Twin Cities, and now top 15 percent. Although, they were close to 20 percent last year.”
Koranne says they are also worried about the decline of physicians in rural hospitals. The data show one in seven general practice doctors in Minnesota will reach retirement age in the next five years.
