Otter Tail County Man and Passenger Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Two Inlets, MN – At around 2:15 Sunday afternoon (September 15th), the Becker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motorcycle accident south of the village of Two Inlets, northwest of Park Rapids.

According to officials, the preliminary investigation indicates that 58-year-old Curtis Duane Hermanson of New York Mills was heading north on County Road 135. At the intersection of 285th street, the street turns to gravel. When the motorcycle hit the gravel, Hermanson lost control of the bike and crashed. He and his passenger, 44-year-old Amanda Marie Weller of Wadena, were both airlifted to Fargo area hospitals for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Neither occupant were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Carsonville Fire and Rescue, Park Rapids Fire, Hubbard Rescue, Essentia-St. Mary’s Ambulance, North Memorial Ground and Air Ambulance, and Life Link III.
