Fergus Falls, MN – Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes and Perham are making plans to open a new club in Fergus Falls. You are invited to attend a public information meeting on September 30th to learn more about programming to serve school age kids.

Boys and Girls Club of Detroit Lakes Executive Director, Patrick Petermann, will be sharing information on programming, goals and a partnership with the Fergus Falls School District. Business leaders from Perham will also share what Boys and Girls Clubs mean to their community, families and employers. There will be a chance to ask questions and learn how you can be involved.

The free informational meeting will be held on Monday, September 30th, 5:00 – 6:00 pm at the Roosevelt Education Center, located at 340 Friberg Avenue, Fergus Falls.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes and Perham serve over 850 children from Becker and Otter Tail Counties. Between both clubs, the following programs are provided: before school, after school, full-day summer care, teen nights/events, year-round preschool, and various outreach events. Their professional staff work hard to offer fun and meaningful activities that help children succeed academically, practice healthy lifestyles, and develop good character and citizenship. All the programs seek to help children develop competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence to enhance their self-esteem – ultimately helping them achieve their full potential as young men and women. Boys & Girls Clubs are a safe place for children to learn and grow! Their mission is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens”.
