Wadena, MN – Four men have been arrested and federally charged in a drug trafficking investigation that began in Wadena County and concluded in St. Paul. 25 pounds of methamphetamine, 3 pounds of cocaine, and 2.5 pounds of heroin were seized as a result of the investigation.
The following arrests have been made following federal indictments:
- 62-year-old Bill Rude of Wadena, charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine.
- 38-year-old Robert Anderson of Wadena, charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine, and three counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
- 28-year-old Aaron Heifort of Clitherall, charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
- 27-year-old Carlos Valdovinos-Trejo of St. Paul, charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine, three counts Distribution of Methamphetamine, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Heroin.
There is currently a federal arrest warrant for a fifth man, 41-year-old Jesus Valdovinos of St. Paul, charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine, Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine.
Officials estimate the street value of the drugs to be over $1 million.
The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office.
The drug trafficking investigation was conducted by the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the West Central Drug Task Force, Minnesota BCA, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
