Carlos, MN – A west central Minnesota man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries suffered in an ATV crash Thursday near Alexandria.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says 62-year-old Leonard Hintzen of Carlos was riding on a local road when a dog ran out in front of his ATV.
Deputies say Hintzen tried to brake but struck the dog and was thrown from the machine.
He was taken to an Alexandria hospital with critical injuries and later airlifted to another medical facility.
