Battle Lake, MN – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department responded to a house fire in Battle Lake at around 6:22 Monday evening (November 25th).
According to officials, the fire appeared to start in an outbuilding before spreading to the residence on Schumacher Drive. The Battle Lake and Underwood Fire Departments also responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
The structure is considered a total loss. The residents of the home were able to evacuate with no injuries and have been assisted by the Red Cross. The fire was investigated by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
