Fergus Falls, MN – Due to worsening weather, Otter Cove has rescheduled the kickoff party for the 5th Annual Festival of Lights that was scheduled for tonight (December 4th). The kickoff party will now be held on Friday, December 6th from 5-7 p.m.
There will be hot chocolate, music, and free photos by Sami Jo Photos at the event to celebrate. Leighton Media is presenting this year’s Festival of Lights and will be broadcasting live from the kickoff party on all four of their radio stations.
Otter Cove has also stated that the lights will not be running tonight, and that the Festival will officially begin Thursday December 5th instead.
The Festival of Lights has become a major holiday event in Fergus Falls, with thousands of cars driving through each year to see the light displays put up by Fergus Falls businesses and organizations.
This year’s Festival of Lights will run from December 5th through December 14th at the Kirkbride, with the displays lit up from 5-9 p.m. Volunteers will collect free will donations during that time.
