Brady Anderson (OTCDF)

Underwood, MN – 40-year-old Brady Everett Anderson of Fergus Falls was arrested during a traffic stop in Underwood after being found in possession of nearly half a kilogram of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, a Minnesota State Patrol Trooper initiated the traffic stop at around 7:56 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th, due to the license plate being covered in snow.

When the trooper approached the vehicle, one of Anderson’s passengers, 52-year-old Brian Sean Brown of Grand Forks, was observed making furtive movements and showing signs of methamphetamine use. Another passenger was visually nervous and had both shaky hands and voice. The trooper says this other passenger was continuously looking down and covered her lap throughout the entire stop. When speaking with the trooper, Anderson nervously stated that they were coming back to Fergus Falls after visiting a friend in Clitheral.

The trooper asked Brown to step out of the vehicle, and after doing so, Brown admitted to using methamphetamine around Thanksgiving. The trooper advised that he was going to do a pat down of the female passenger, who tensed up and began crying. Court documents say that there was a baggie in the passenger’s waistband that contained about a pound of a crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine. Anderson stated that the methamphetamine was his and that he had made the passenger take it.

Inside the vehicle the trooper located a locked bag underneath the passenger seat that contained hypodermic needles, suspected methamphetamine and a baggie of suspected mushrooms. The suspected mushrooms weighed 9 grams. On Anderson’s person, a deputy located two baggies of suspected fentanyl. There was 14.3 grams of suspected fentanyl. In total the suspected methamphetamine weighed 478.1 grams.

Both Anderson and Brown were arrested. Anderson has been charged with one felony count of 1st Degree Sale of Methamphetamine, as well as a felony count of 1st Degree Possession of Methamphetamine and 3rd Degree Possession of Fentanyl. Brown has been charged with two felony counts of 5th Degree Drug Possession. Both men made their first court appearance last Thursday (December 12th).
