Mankato, MN – A Moorhead man faces felony charges in a drug-related shooting on New Year’s Eve in Mankato.
Blue Earth County prosecutors are charging 18-year-old Abdikhadar Fakhi Mohidin with five counts, including first-degree assault resulting in great bodily harm and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police said surveillance video from a parking lot showed Mohidin and another suspect shooting at each other near a vehicle. The female victim was hit in the exchange of gunfire and taken to a Rochester hospital for surgery.
Officers recovered marijuana and a handgun at the scene.
