2025 Sculpture Walk (City of Fergus Falls)

Fergus Falls, MN – The City of Fergus Falls Public Arts Commission (PAC) is excited to announce that there will be a Sculpture Walk with six sculptures installed in downtown Fergus Falls in the late Spring of 2025.

The Fergus Falls PAC successfully applied for and received private funding for the first three years from local foundations. These funders share a vision for public art as an economic driver and an interest in people encountering art in their everyday life, while downtown shopping on Lincoln Avenue, visiting the farmers market, or checking out the splash pad near the river. The new exhibiting artists will be chosen by Fergus Falls PAC and the selected artists will receive a stipend and the chance to sell their sculptures downtown Fergus Falls.

In the summer of 2025, the inaugural tour of six sculptures will be exhibited on Lincoln Avenue between Union and Cascade for all the world to enjoy. With this exciting news the Fergus Falls PAC seeks submissions for their 2025 Sculpture Walk. The submission deadline is Thursday, February 13th, 2025; notifications will be sent to the artists by March 7th, 2025.

Artwork will be selected based on conceptual strength, originality, and workmanship by the Fergus Falls Public Arts Commissions. Sculptures will be exhibited in downtown Fergus Falls from May 2025-April 2026. Selected artists will receive a $1500 honorarium to display their work. Submissions limit of three per artist; no cost to enter. All artists need to be a resident of either Minnesota, North Dakota or South Dakota.

The Fergus Falls Sculpture Walk is part of a walkable tour of public art in the historic downtown area with multiple shops, art organizations and restaurants. Click here to learn more or to apply.

“This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.”
