Fergus Falls, MN – The University of Minnesota Extension in Otter Tail County and Miltona Greenhouses are bringing two apple tree grafting workshops to the residents of Otter Tail County.

Dave Vaske of Miltona Greenhouses will provide information on a variety of grafting techniques. Participants will be able to graft and take home three apple trees.

U of M Extension Educator Olivia Olson says the workshop will provide individuals with the opportunity to have fruit trees that work well in their environment and learn the age-old skill of tree grafting. She says Dave has taught more than 30 grafting classes over the years and will help set attendees up for success.

The first workshop will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 24th at the East Otter Tail County Extension Office in New York Mills. The second workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 3rd at the West Otter Tail Extension Office in Fergus Falls. Participants are asked to bring a pair of heavy work gloves.

More information and registration can be found for the New York Mills workshop here, and for the Fergus Falls workshop here.
