Minneapolis, MN – University of Minnesota administrators say they are deeply concerned about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agents detaining a graduate student.
U of M President Rebecca Cunningham told students the university “had no prior knowledge of the incident and shared no information with federal authorities” before the student was detained on Thursday. School officials say they’re investigating and taking steps to get students connected to resources and support.
Governor Tim Walz reportedly talked to Homeland Security about the situation.
