Stripped for Parts: American Journalism on the Brink. (WCI)
Wheaton, MN – West Central Initiative (WCI) is screening a documentary that explores the challenges facing community newspapers.
Tonight (April 14th), WCI will be screening Stripped for Parts: American Journalism on the Brink at the Wheaton Community Library, followed by a discussion on the role of local journalism in keeping communities informed, engaged, and connected.
Along with tonight’s screening in Wheaton, WCI is holding other screenings and discussions around the area. On April 16th, the documentary will be shown in Morris at the West Central Research and Outreach Center. On April 21st, the event will be held at the Douglas County Library, and on the 23rd it will be at the Pelican Rapids Public Library.
All screenings will begin at 5:30 and are open to everyone. The event is free and there is no registration required.
