Menahga, MN – A man living in Perham has been charged for drunk driving following a head-on crash in rural Menahga that injured two teens.
State Troopers say 46-year-old Francisco Castro Lorenzo was driving south in the northbound lanes of Highway 71 late Friday night, when he collided with an SUV near mile marker 251.
The 16-year-old female driver of the SUV from Menahga and her passenger, a 16-year-old male from Sebeka, were transported St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids for minor injuries.
Castro Lorenzo was also injured and was transported to Astera Hospital in Wadena. Court documents say he was taken into Wadena County custody after receiving treatment, with a breathalyzer test of .166.
Castro Lorenzo has been charged with 3rd Degree DWI, Criminal Vehicular Operation, and Driving without a License.
