Otter Tail County, MN – Mental health is part of everyone’s story, and Otter Tail County is proud to support Mental Health Awareness Month with this year’s theme: Turning Awareness into Action. Throughout May, the County will highlight resources, ideas, and practical steps that residents can take to support their own mental well-being and that of their loved ones.

In the first week, the focus is on helping individuals explore their mental health in meaningful and accessible ways. One featured resource is CredibleMind, a free, online tool available to all Otter Tail County residents. CredibleMind offers personalized content—including videos, podcasts, articles, and self-assessments—on topics such as stress, sleep, mindfulness, and emotional wellness.

“CredibleMind is so much more than just an informational webpage,” shared Reese Ellison, Otter Tail County Public Health Educator. “It provides tools and practical ways for individuals to prioritize and take charge of their own mental health.”

Otter Tail County invites everyone to join in recognizing Mental Health Month and to take small, intentional steps toward better mental health—for themselves and for the community.

If you or someone you know needs free and confidential support, call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
