Miltona, MN – Douglas County authorities are reminding everyone to wear a life jacket following a boating incident on Lake Miltona.
The sheriff’s office received a report Saturday that a 15-year-old boy had fallen out of a moving boat and the boat was still going in circles. The teen was able to call 911 while yelling for help but was not wearing a life vest.
Deputies say a pontoon boat rescued the boy and brought him shore. He was treated by paramedics and released to his parents. A local dock and life company stopped the unoccupied boat.
