Detroit Lakes, MN – Two people are injured following a car crash south of Detroit Lakes on Friday.
State Troopers say that around 10:45 Friday morning, a Chevy Impala driven by 28-year-old Rhianna Marie Hayes of New York Mills was heading north on Highway 59 near Seven Sisters Spirits and a Toyota Prius driven by 43-year-old Nathan Rich Dietrich of Gaylord was heading east on County Highway 17 when the two vehicles collided.
Hayes and her passenger, 32-year-old Ethan Jon Smith of Pelican Rapids, were transported to Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Dietrich was not injured.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Essentia Ambulance.
