Fergus Falls, MN – The City of Fergus Falls is hosting an Open House this evening (May 29th) to check out the new Aquatic Center ahead of Monday’s Grand Opening.

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., people can come check out the new facility and get familiar with its layout days before trunks hit the water. Attendees can also buy season memberships at the event. Fergus Falls Parks, Recreation and Community Arena Coordinator Pam Muxfeldt says, “Our memberships $100 for the first member of the family, and then it’s $35 for each additional member, up to a maximum of $205.”

It’s important to note that swimming in either the lap pool or the zero-depth entry pool will not be allowed at the Open House, however, it will be greatly encouraged at the Grand Opening on Monday, June 2nd. Public Works Director Len Taylor says of the Grand Opening, “We’re going to offer free swimming that day. We’ll have a couple food trucks here. Uncle Eddie’s is providing ice cream for the first 200 people in the door, and it’ll be a great day. We’re hoping for a lot of good, warm days this summer to really use the pool.”

A Grand Opening ceremony will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, with the pool opening for everyone to use at noon.
