Sunday Morning Thunderstorm Knocks out Power Across Otter Tail County

Fergus Falls, MN – Sunday morning’s thunderstorm brought significant winds and knocked out power for a few thousand in Otter Tail County.

According to Otter Tail Power Company’s outage map, over a thousand customers in the northern part of Fergus Falls lost power around 8:15 a.m., primarily across Fir Avenue and heading north along County Highway 27 and Deer Valley Road. As of 10:30, power has returned to these areas, and OTPCO expects the other outages will be fixed within the hour.

 

 

Lake Region Electric Cooperative is reporting 25 outages scattered around the county, affecting 1,995 customers. The largest one is in Dent affecting 713 customers in the city.
