The community is invited to help paint a new mural in downtown Fergus Falls. (Springboard for the Arts)
Fergus Falls, MN – On Tuesday and Wednesday, June 24th and 25th, community members are encouraged to help paint a new mural on the Springboard for the Arts building in downtown Fergus Falls.
Over the last year, South Dakota-based Mural on the Wall (artists Reyna Hernandez, Amber Hansen, and Sonia Hernandez) have been engaging community members in designing a mural that will cover the two-story expanse on the south side of the historic Benson Building, which is home to Springboard’s rural headquarters.
Springboard will host two community painting days where anyone can drop in, pick up a brush, and be part of creating a new landmark for downtown Fergus Falls. The first will be on Tuesday, June 24th, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and the second will be on Wednesday, June 25th, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
A Community Mural Celebration will be held on July 9th from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to unveil and celebrate the new mural.
