Fergus Falls, MN – A child was hit with a car while biking near Walgreens on Sunday afternoon (June 29th).
According to the Fergus Falls Police Department, the 12-year-old child was heading north on Vine Street in the southbound lane at around 2:30 p.m., when a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman entered the road via an alley and struck the child.
The child’s legs were pinned under the car until the Fergus Falls Fire Department lifted the car and removed them. The 12-year-old was taken to Lake Region Healthcare for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say that no charges are being filed against the woman driving the car.
