Fergus Falls E-Bike Rider Injured in Early Morning Crash

Fergus Falls, MN – Another bike rider was injured in Fergus Falls early Tuesday morning (July 1st).

Fergus Falls Police officers say that at about 5 a.m., a 61-year-old man was heading south on First Avenue on his e-bike, when he failed to stop at the intersection of West Cavour Avenue, and was hit by a car heading west on Cavour.

The rider was transported to Lake Region Healthcare for evaluation of what police say appeared to be minor injuries. Officers also say he was conscious and alert at the time of transport.

No alcohol was involved in the crash, but charges are pending for the rider for failing to yield at a stop sign. Charges are also pending for the driver of the car for not having insurance.

The Police Department was assisted by Ringdahl Ambulance.
