Fergus Falls, MN – On Wednesday, July 2nd, HIA Hospice held a ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of its rebrand from Hospice of the Red River Valley.

At the celebration, HIA Health Director of Marketing & Community Relations Brenda Iverson says everything they do is about helping people live with serious illness but live well, “And now we have this name that aligns with that. It’s something we all rally around. HIA stands for Hearts in Action, and it was something we felt so good about because that is what our team does every single day. We’re not just talking about doing good work; this team does it everyday.”

Iverson also says the new name better reflects the organization’s commitment to each community it has grown to serve. Since its founding in Fargo in 1981, the organization has expanded its service area to cover more than 63,000 square miles.
