Detroit Lakes, MN – The Minnesota State Patrol provided extra enforcement and traffic control around Detroit Lakes during WE Fest from Tuesday, August 5 through Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Troopers kept busy patrolling and assisting the motoring public. Only two crashes in the area occurred and both resulted in property damage only (no injuries).

It was noted that many people utilized the shuttle services, along with other ride sharing and sober rides options. Sgt. Jesse Grabow of the Minnesota State Patrol said, “We always want to see that everyone gets to and from the event safely.” While DWI arrests were down this year, speeding citations and hands free driving violations were up compared to 2024.
