Elizabeth, MN – A woman was arrested in Elizabeth early Tuesday morning (August 12th) after fleeing Otter Tail County deputies.

At around 12:20 a.m., Otter Tail County Dispatch received a call of a possible intoxicated driver leaving a home in Fergus Falls. The vehicle was later found by deputies in Elizabeth.

A deputy stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, 54-year-old Sheri Abrahamson, who drove off as the deputy was speaking with her. The deputy pursued the vehicle for a short distance before executing a PIT maneuver, bringing the vehicle to a stop. Abrahamson was taken into custody without further incident.

The Sheriff’s Office says Abrahamson is currently in custody at the Otter Tail County Detention Facility pending charges of fleeing in a motor vehicle, DWI, and obstructing the legal process.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Fergus Falls Police Department.
