Fergus Falls, MN – The future of cannabis sales in Fergus Falls has been decided.
At Monday night’s meeting, the Fergus Falls City Council voted to approve a cannabis retail registration for Greenwood Roots Ltd and Elevate Cannabis Dispensary, as well as one for Roy’zzz Real LLC (NB2A Investments). Both votes were unanimous.
After the two registrations required by the city were approved, the other applications had far less success. Sugar High Cannabis Consulting and Dispensary received 3 yes votes from the council (Fish, Job, Kilde) and 5 no votes. The other three applicants did not even receive resolutions.
Kris Stach, co-owner of Elevate, says, “The entire Elevate team is genuinely overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude to receive one of the two cannabis retail registrations in Fergus Falls. This approval is a massive milestone for our local, family-owned business, but it’s really a win for the entire community. We especially want to thank our loyal customers and local supporters who stood by us throughout this process—your support made this happen. We are committed to being a dedicated community partner, and this next step allows us to create more jobs, contribute more economically, and give back more to the organizations that make Fergus Falls great. We look forward to making the full switch to licensed cannabis sales very soon and can’t wait to serve you safely and responsibly.”
Elevate will continue to operate out of its current downtown location. The other company that received registration, Roy’zzz Real LLC, has a proposed location behind the municipal liquor store on Lincoln Avenue.
