Fergus Falls, MN – MnDOT is holding a free business workshop ahead of the major reconstruction of the Highway 210 bridge and I-94 Exit 54 near Walmart next year.
The “Thrive during Construction” workshop will be held at M State in Legacy Hall on Monday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event is being put on for local business owners and leaders in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center.
The 90-minute session will be facilitated by SBDC business consultants who will discuss strategies and tactics to mitigate risk and help businesses thrive during the construction season. The first half of the workshop will cover business planning topics such as inventory control, cash flow management, staffing and scenario planning. The second half will focus on marketing and communication tactics.
MnDOT is encouraging businesses in Fergus Falls to participate in the workshop, especially those within or near the work zone.
As part of this project, the existing bridges will be replaced. MnDOT will replace the existing two bridges with a single structure. Roundabouts will be constructed at the interchange ramps and Redwood Lane.
