Garfield, MN – Authorities in Douglas County say a 19-year-old rider is hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries suffered in a dirt bike crash near Garfield.
Sheriff’s deputies located Riley Wunderlich semi-responsive and in severe pain on Saturday. A witness reported Wunderlich was riding in a ditch and was ejected from the bike while trying to jump a driveway.
He was taken to a hospital in Alexandria and later airlifted to another medical facility for treatment. The report says Wunderlich was wearing a helmet and that alcohol wasn’t involved.
