Perham, MN – A Perham man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.
On Friday, 42-year-old Zachary Michael Nash pleaded guilty to two counts of pornographic work of a minor under the age of 14. The plea came as part of an agreement that the other four counts of related charges were dismissed, he will receive no more than 120 days in Otter Tail County Jail, and the state will give him a presumptive sentence of 36 months stayed. He will also be under probation for five years.
Prosecutors say the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received multiple tips from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) on December 15, 2022, that said Nash’s computer was possibly in possession of 18 files of child porn.
During a search warrant in May 2023, investigators found 17 files of child porn on Nash’s various devices. Despite this, the last conversation investigators had was in January of 2024, and he was not summoned to court until April 2025. Nash was booked in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility on May 21.
Nash’s sentencing hearing is set for March 2, 2026.
