St. Paul, MN – On Monday, Governor Tim Walz announced he will not seek another term as Minnesota governor. Senator Jordan Rasmusson (R-Fergus Falls) released the following statement:

“Over the past seven years, Walz’s administration has represented the greatest failure of state government in my lifetime. Under Walz’s watch, billions of taxpayers’ monies have gone to criminals while taxes for Minnesota families have increased. This announcement does nothing to undo the damage caused by his failed policies. I will continue to hold Walz and the Democrats fully accountable for the consequences of their actions.”

Walz said in a statement that every minute he spent defending his political interests would be a minute he can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota. The governor says he’s decided to step out of the race and let others worry about the election while he focuses on the work.
