A semi crash on westbound Interstate 94 in Otter Tail County sent one driver to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash was reported at 1:57 p.m. near milepost 45 on westbound I-94. Two semis were traveling west when they collided.
The State Patrol says a 2001 Kenworth semi driven by 50-year-old Bradley Paul Rodenwald of Albany, Minnesota, and a 2024 Freightliner semi driven by 59-year-old Gary Allen Zaug of Plover, Wisconsin, were involved.
Zaug sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls. Rodenwald was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the report. Road conditions at the time were described as snow and ice covered.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Fergus Falls Fire Department, MnDOT, and Ringdahl responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
