Battle Lake, MN – Glendalough State Park is hosting a family friendly adventure on snowshoes this weekend.
On Saturday, January 31, hikers can grab their snowshoes or rent a pair at the park and head on a two-mile walk in the snow. Participants will meet at the Council Ring below the Sunset Lake trailhead parking lot at 10:00 a.m.
Park staff are reminding people to dress for the weather and to wear a good pair of winter boots. A limited number of snowshoes are available to rent at the park office.
In the event of extreme cold or winter storms, please call the park or check the park’s webpage under “visitor alerts” for program status.
