Barrett, MN – The Grant County Board of Commissioners is holding a public hearing tonight regarding the current areas of shotgun zone.
A change to the state law allows counties to adopt ordinances that restrict certain firearms during the deer hunting season, instead of the state. The public hearing will help inform the County Board’s decision to either adopt an ordinance to keep current shotgun zone areas or take no action, which would allow for hunting with rifles.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing at 6:30 tonight in the West Central Area Secondary School Auditorium, 301 County Road 2 Barrett, MN.
