State officials are urging caution on Minnesota’s lakes, ponds, and rivers as rapidly melting ice leads to dangerous conditions.
Over the past few days, at least three people have fallen through the ice, and two have died. The Minnesota DNR warn no ice is ever 100-percent safe, since thickness and stability can vary widely even within a few feet.
